Folk Toys from Around the World
Children around the world love to play with toys. Certain toys are extremely popular in some parts of the world and not so popular in others.
Some toys were invented and popularized in some countries and later migrated to other countries. In some countries, certain folk toys have remained popular for millennia.
In this library program children will learn about the most popular toys in many cultures of the world. These include the Japanese Kendama, Chinese Diabolo and Kongzhu, various spinning tops from Europe, Gee Haw Whammy Diddle and the Wham-o Frisbee and Hula Hoop from the USA.
Block booking discounts are available for back–to–back shows.
